This circuit allows is made to show my birth date when the binary number is inputted. This project allows me to use karnaugh mapping and gates.

Multisim work
This is a picture of my multisim circuit. Multisim helps us visualize the circuits we are going to bread board. In my circuit I used 8 gates, 2 were 08's, 2 were 32's, 2 where 02's, 2 where 00's, and 2 where 04's. The gates are what tells a circuit whether its a 1 or 0 and if its, for example, x+y or xy.

Breadboarding
While bread boarding I ran into a lot of minor issues which I regretfully put off and would work around as supposed to fixing it which ended up leaving my original bread board as a mess, so I decided to re-do the bread board and ended up with a much better product that almost worked perfectly if it wasn't for one light. I would definitely say this was a learning experience to not ignore these kind of problems as they can mess up the entire bread board in the future.
Revisions
My bread board had many issues with my original product so i decided i would be better off recreating the breadboard than looking for the issues as the circuit was a mess.
Conclusion
During this project i learned how to breadboard a 7 segment display and this also strengthened my skills with k-mapping and creating truth tables. Also in this project i learned how to create a truth table for 7 segment displays. This was also my first experience with 00 and 02 gates and learned that 02 gates are different from others instead of going input, input, output it goes output, input, input. K-mapping is essentially an easier way to do boolean algebra which is much harder than k-mapping in my opinion
